Handling of Lost and Found Items

IT Services maintains a Lost and Found for computer and instruction related items such as books, USB drives, or other removable storage, or for non-valuable personal items. 

Removable storage, books, and miscellaneous personal items will be held in a lost and found repository at the help desk and will be returned to users who can describe their property to help desk staff.

Items of value (including but not limited to phones, wallets, purses, keys, and jewelry) will be transferred immediately to Public Safety.  ITS staff will contact Public Safety by phone and/or radio, and will send an email to Public Safety and ITS staff members describing the property being transferred to Public Safety.
