The Affordable Connectivity Program
The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a program that has been helping low income families afford the cost of internet services since 2021. It is administered by the USAC with oversight from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
Benefits
Eligible households receive:
- Up to a $30/month discount on their internet service, including associated equipment rentals such as a modem.
- Up to a $75/month discount if their household is on qualifying Tribal lands.
- A one-time discount of up to $100 for a laptop, tablet, or desktop computer (with a co-payment of more than $10 but less than $50).
- Low cost service plans may be fully covered through the ACP.
- These are non-cash benefits paid directly to the participating internet service provider.
Eligibility
- Eligibility is based on household income below 200% of the Federal Poverty Line; or
- A member of the household’s participation in certain federal or Tribal assistance programs, such as SNAP, Medicaid, Pell Grant, FPHA, Free Lunch Program, etc.

How to Apply
- You may apply for the ACP online, through the mail, or through one of the participating local internet service providers near you, including Xfinity/Comcast, Verizon, LTE Wireless, AT&T, and more.
