Student Device Checkouts / Equipment Pick up and Drop Off
Information Technology Services (ITS) provides Chromebooks, and Windows laptops to students to check out each quarter.
Student devices are available for checkout each quarter based on availability and a first-come, first served basis.
Chromebooks and Windows laptops are available for checkout. Chromebooks are the default computer devices provided for checkout. Students who need a Windows laptop for a specific class must put that class and instructor in their request. All checkout equipment is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Students must be registered for classes prior to requesting a device. Devices must be returned at the end of the to be updated and refreshed for the next quarter. For those students with devices checked out for a previous quarter, you must return your equipment before submitting a new request. Please note that due to high rates of equipment not being returned when due, the college will apply lost fines and blocks for overdue equipment.
If you return your device and you remain enrolled, you may request another loan for the following quarter.
Should you withdraw from all your courses, loaned devices will be due back to Highline College immediately so they can be available for other students.
To request a device, fill out the Student Technology Request Form. Your request will be automatically emailed to the ITS Help Desk. When a device is available, you will be sent an invitation to select the date and time for your appointment. You will pick up your device at the ITS Help Desk located in Building 30.
