Mailman Lists (Listservs)

Mailman is a Web-based email discussion-list manager.  Mailman allows users to send email messages to groups who have subscribed to a topic-specific mailing list. It also allows subscribers to sort and view archived messages, and can be configured to act as an interactive discussion list  

To request a new Mailman list, please contact the HelpDesk by submitting a ticket. Provide the following information in the ticket:

  • Request to create a new Mailman list 
  • Preferred List name
  • The owner/manager of the Mailman list
  • Purpose of the Mailman list

If you are unsure of what type of account or list is needed, please mention the purpose of the list.  ITS will follow up with the requestor and determine the best solution.
