Overview of Student Technology Tools

There are four key tools you will use at Highline College: ctcLink, myHighline, Watermark, and Canvas.

ctcLink

ctcLink is where you’ll manage your class schedule, student information, tuition payments, financial aid, and other business activities. Some examples: 

  • Manage Classes:  Enroll, add or drop classes
  • Profile:  View or update your personal data and contact information
  • Financial Account:  View your Account Balance, pay your Tuition/Fees, sign up for a Payment Plan
  • Financial Aid:  View eligibility, processes, and awards
  • Academic Records:  View final grades, unofficial transcript
  • Academic Progress:  Certificate/degree requirements, apply for graduation

myHighline

Your myHighline username and password are used to log in to lab computers, Canvas, Watermark, and many other tools. The Account Info tool is where you:

  • Update your myHighline password
  • Update your alternate email address for security backup

Watermark

Watermark Student Success Engagement is how you collaborate with your Highline Advisor and Support Teams. You can:

  • Contact or schedule appointments with Advising and Tutoring
  • Find out your advising/tutoring options, and information on Drop-In sessions
  • Develop education plans
  • Manage the To-Do items assigned by your advisor
  • View contact and course information for your instructors

Canvas

Canvas is where the online activities for your classes will be available. You can:

  • Access the class syllabus and some reading materials
  • View and submit your assignments 
  • Participate in online discussions and other activities
  • View grades on specific assignments and tests
  • Contact your instructors
