Multi-Factor Authentication Requirements and Login Changes

Starting February 15 2024, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) will be required to log in to ctcLink and Microsoft365 for all students in credit programs.

MFA is similar to the steps many banks require. For instance, you’ll need to use an app on your phone or have a code texted to you in addition to your username and password. We are doing this to improve the security of your information at the college.

For Highline students, MFA can be set up today. Once you set it up you will be able to use that to get into ctcLink. We invite you to set up Highline student MFA through Okta to better protect your information now. After February 15 you will be required to configure MFA the next time you log in to ctcLink directly.

Please review the Highline Okta MFA and ctcLink MFA instructions. We recommend you utilize the Okta Verify app when possible. You should also set up at least one other option, such as text messaging.

Once your Highline MFA is set up, you will now be able to log in to ctcLink through the Okta Dashboard.  This will give you one place to easily access ctcLink, Canvas, Aviso, and other Highline systems.
